Men and Women Compete at NCAA Division III Regionals

Gorham, ME (11/11/17) – The Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams concluded the 2017 season atthe NCAA D111 New England Regional meet on Saturday, November 11th hosted by the University of Southern Maine. There were 55 teams and 370 finishers in the men's 8K race and 56 teams with 393 finishers in the women' 6K race.

 

One the men's side, Ryan Dalaba (North Granville, NY) finished the season as the top performer for the Lasers placing 217th overall in 29:35.  Seniors Kyle Vonick (Weathersfield, CT) and Troy Gonsalves (Providence, RI) finished their Lasell Cross Country careers placing 316th and 323rd respectively followed by a trio of sophomores with Matt Holden (Methuen, MA) placing 327th, Kyle Mullen (West Newbury, MA) in 352nd and Kevin Wallen (Billerica, MA), finishing in 357th for the men. The men's team placed 51st overall.

 

For the Lasell women, Sophomore Karli Manship (Pittsfield,MA) finished with a new personal best time in the 6K race finishing in 26:51 in 320th place overall. Freshman Maggie McGovern (Worcester, MA) finished in 28:29 in 343rd. Seniors Lauren Lenahan (Weymouth, MA) and Shannon Hart (Mashpee, MA) finished in 368th and 388th respectively. While the team did not have five finishers to score in the meet, the four Laser women had their best team performance of the season.
