NEWTON, Mass. (10/22/14) – The Lasell College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 GNAC result to visiting Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon. The loss dropped the Lasers to 4-24 overall and 1-5 in GNAC play while the Saints improved to 18-9 while staying unbeaten in league play at 6-0.
Odina Ellis and Heather Longley paced Lasell with nine and eight kills respectively and Taylor Tiezzi handed out 21 assists. Cassandra Stout and Caitlyn Garcia recorded eight and seven digs in the contest.
The Lasers led the first set 16-10 but saw the Saints storm back, closing the set on a 15-4 run to go in front 1-0. Emmanuel controlled the action in the second and third sets, pulling out 25-17 and 25-14 wins to take the match 3-0.
Lasell is back in action on Tuesday October 22nd when they visit Mount Ida for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Mustangs.
