Women's Volleyball Drops Two in  Non-Conference Action

Women's Volleyball Drops Pair

The Lasell College women's volleyball team fell 3-0 in a pair of matches to the University of New England and Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon. The Lasers dropped the opening match by scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-22 to the host UNE before losing by scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-15 against Colby Sawyer. Lasell slipped to 0-8 on the season while UNE moved to 2-2 after falling to Colby-Sawyer and the Chargers pushed their record to 4-2 with a pair of victories.

UNE 3 – Lasell 0

Freshmen Odina Ellis led the way for Lasell with ten kills in the contest, Meredith Eagan finished with six kills and six digs while Michele Canestro added five kills. Alyssa Nahigian handed out a team-high 15 assists to go with 10 digs and Caitlyn Garcia recorded 11 digs in the match.

Colby Sawyer 3 – Lasell 0

Meredith Eagan paced the Lasers with six kills in the match, while Odina Ellis and Michele Canestro each chipped in four kills. Alyssa Nahigian posted a team-high nine digs to go with eight assists and Taylor Tiezzi finished with nine assists in the match.

Lasell will return to action on Tuesday September 9th when they host Smith College in a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match.
