Women's Volleyball Finishes 1-3 at SUNY Oneonta Tournament

ONEONTA, N.Y. (11/2/13) – The Lasell College women's volleyball team compiled a 1-3 mark in four matches at the SUNY Oneonta Dig Pink Invitational. The Lasers dropped a pair of 3-1 decisions on Friday evening to Ithaca College and Baruch then bounced back to defeat Bard College 3-0 on Saturday morning before falling 3-1 at the hands of Hartwick College. The Lasers saw their record slide to 17-15 on the season as they prepare for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament on Tuesday evening when they will face third seeded Johnson and Wales University.

Ithaca 3 – Lasell 1

The Lasers fell 26-24, 22-25, 25-14 and 25-14 to the Empire Eight conference Bombers of Ithaca College. Abigail Rollins (N. Caldwell, N.J.), Sharisse Scott-Rawlins (Brockton, Mass.) and Kathy Cameron (Boston, Mass.) each recorded eight kills in the match, Anna Feeter (Peterboro, N.H.) handed out 25 assists in the four set affair and Jordan Seid (Rowland Hts., Calif.) finished with 15 digs.

Baruch 3 – Lasell 1

Lasell lost another narrow four set match to Baruch in their second outing of the day by scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-15 and 34-32. Rollins tallied 13 kills, Heather Longley (N. Granby, Conn.) finished with 10 kills, and Scott-Rawlins chipped in nine kills and 23 digs. Anna Feeter passed out 36 assists and Kathy Cameron totaled eight kills and 4.5 total blocks.

Lasell 3 – Bard 0

The Lasers claimed a three set victory over Liberty League foe Bard College by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-15.

Hartwick 3 – Lasell 1

Lasell suffered a four set defeat at the hands of Hartwick College in their final match of the SUNY Oneonta event, dropping 14-25, 25-23, 23-25 and 14-25.
