NEWTON, Mass. (9/24/13) – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference recognized Lasell College freshmen Abigail Rollins (North Caldwell, N.J.) as the conference's rookie of the week in women's volleyball. The freshmen outside hitter helped the Lasers to a 3-1 week.
The Lasers freshmen had a big week for Lasell averaging 3.67 kills/set while chipping in 2.67 digs/set on the week. She finished with a match-best 16 kills in Lasell's 3-1 victory over UMD, and was in double figure kills in three of the Lasers four matches.
Rollins leads the team averaging 2.85 kills per set and looks to help to continue to help the Lasers as they play at Plymouth State on September 24th and open the GNAC schedule with a tri-match vs. Johnson & Wales and Emmanuel on Saturday September 28th.
