Women's Volleyball Clipped at Emerson

BOSTON, Mass. (9/12/13) - The Lasell College women's volleyball team lost at Emerson College, falling 3-1 by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-22. Lasell dropped to 3-4 on the season with the loss, while Emerson improved to 5-3 overall.

Heather Longley (N. Granby, Conn.) finished with a team-high eight kills for Lasell, while Abigail Rollins N. Caldwell, N.J.) and Kathy Cameron (Boston, Mass.) each finished with seven kills on the evening. Rollins led the Lasers defense with 15 digs and Cameron added five solo blocks and seven block assists. Alyssa Nahigian (Coventry, R.I.) directed the Lasell offense 26 assists in the loss.

Jessica Hamilton totaled a match-high ten kills, Julianna Augustine and Alyssa Thorne each chipped in with nine kills for Emerson. Kat Rice finished with six kills and seven block assists in the victory while Giuli Frendak handed out 27 assists.

 Lasell will visit Smith College this weekend where they will take on Smith College and Castleton State at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday September 14th.
