WTrack: Lasers Thrive at Tufts Snowflake Classic

Medford, MA - The Lasell Laser's Women's Track and Field team competed in the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday.

For the second straight week, the throwing events were where the Lasers shined, as two Lasers set new throwing PRs. Mikayla Bokis hit a 16.31m mark in the Hammer Throw for a PR, while Emily Franzik got a mark of 26.40m in the Discus for a PR of her own. Bokis also put up marks of 15.64m and 7.97m in the Javelin and Shot Put. Franzik posted a mark of 21.39m in the Javelin.

On the track, the Lasers had two more PRs set by Lezly Acevedo and Emily Varga. Acevedo PRed in the 1500m with a time of 5:52.49, while Varga PRed in the 800m with a time of 2:56.71. The team of Hanna Babek, Damali Waugh, Delvarie Moore and Emily VanHouten placed fifth in the 4x100 relay with a time of 53.92s.

Up Next - The Lasers will compete again next Saturday at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational at Gordan College.
