WTrack: Women Set Nine Personal Records

Springfield, MA - The Women's Track and Field Team put on a tremendous performance at the Springfield Massasoit Classic on Saturday, with nine personal records being set.

For the second straight week, Taylor Sprague broke the school record in the Weight Throw, putting up a mark of 10.20m. She would also set a PR in the Shotput with a throw of 9.41m. She was one of four Lasers to set a new personal best in the shot put, joining Erika Oldham (7.96m), Mikayla Bokis (7.21m), and Savannah Teixiera (5.03m).

The 4x400m relay team finished in 6th with a time of 4:42.76. That team included Sarah Milne, Hanna Babek, and Adrianna Tassone. Tassone also set a new PR in the 800m, putting up a time of 3:06.22.

Two Lasers set new PRs in the 200m Dash, as Delvarie Moore ran a 30.51s, and Gaelle Nelfise ran a 32.28s. Nelfise also set a new PR in the 60m with a time of 9.47s, while Moore just missed out on a PR in the same event by running a 9.15s.

Up Next - The Lasers will participate in two separate events next weekend, as the field athletes will go to the UMass Boston/UMass Lowell Invite #2 on Friday, January 27th, while the track athletes head to the Boston University Terrier Classic the following day.
