WESTON, Mass. – The Lasell College women's track & field team posted 11 season-best performances Friday afternoon in the Regis College Spring Classic at Regis Stadium, an event featuring a dozen schools.

Freshman Alahna Mild (Bar Harbor, Maine) posted a pair of best times in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. She ran the 100 in 14.03 seconds to place 15th out of 36 racers and finished the 200 in 30.08 seconds to place 17th out of 39. Junior Allie Clancy (Beverly, Mass.) also registered her two fastest times in the 100 and 200 with a 14.31 (19th place) and a 30.74 (24th).

Freshman Olivia Diogo (Peabody, Mass.) was also 29th in the 100 with a personal-best 15.89 seconds; freshman Emily Hong (Southborough, Mass.) was 21st in the 200 with a personal-best 30.55; and senior Jordan Immerman (Tarzana, Calif.) was 28th in the 200 in a time of 32.01 seconds.

Freshman Nikki Ruggiero (Peabody, Mass.) had another strong performance in the 800-meter run, placing ninth among 16 runners with a season-best time of 2:45.70. All three Lasell entries posted season-best times in the 5,000 meters, as sophomore Amanda Hawkes (Billerica, Mass.) was sixth out of 14 runners with a 21:59.98, dropping nearly two minutes off her time from last week; freshman Grace West (Kennebunk, Maine) was ninth in 22:19.36, dropping 50 seconds off her best time; and freshman Emma Vierling (Waltham, Mass.) was 14th in 24:02.09, dropping a minute and 50 seconds off her time from two weeks ago.

Freshman Elise Stanbury (Warren Hills, N.J.) represented the Lasers in two field events. She placed 10th out of 27 throwers in the shot put with a mark of 8.93 meters (29'3.75"), and 12th out of 24 in the discus with a mark of 24.53 meters (80'6").

Sophomore Allie Jo Amos (Prescott, Ariz.) posted a season-best mark of 25.93 meters (85'1") to place eighth out of 21 throwers in the javelin, and freshman Sophia Franzik (Wallingford, Conn.) was right behind in ninth place with a mark of 22.34 meters (73'3"). Immerman was also 14th in the long jump with a leap of 3.43 meters (11'3").

The Lasers will be back on the track next Saturday, April 13, at the Second Annual Penmen Relays at Southern New Hampshire University, beginning at 10 a.m.
