Lasell Women’s Track & Field competes indoors at Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshmen Alahna Mild (Bar Harbor, Maine) and Emily Hong (Southborough, Mass.) had top performances for the Lasell College women's track & field team Saturday as the Lasers competed in the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational at Brandeis University.

Mild ran the 60-meter dash in 8.98 seconds, dropping a third of a second off her time from a month ago (9.31) and placing 22nd out of 37 sprinters. Junior Allie Clancy (Beverly, Mass.) was close behind in 28th in 9.15 seconds in her season debut, while Hong finished 30th in 9.19 seconds.

Hong was Lasell's top finisher in the 200 meters, finishing in 31.06 seconds and placing 27th, while Mild crossed the line in 32nd place in 32.18 seconds

Freshman Emma Murray (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomore Amanda Hawkes (Billerica, Mass.) finished 11th and 16th, respectively, in the mile run in 6:30.53 and 6:59.57. Sophomore Amanda Miller (New Bedford, Mass.) ran the 600 meters in 2:06.90, and freshman Emma Vierling (Waltham, Mass.) ran a 3:32.73 in the 800 meters.

Senior Jordan Immerman (Tarzana, Calif.) was Lasell's lone representative in field events, recording a mark of 3.66 meters (12'0.25") in the long jump.

The Lasers will compete again on Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational at Harvard.
