NEWTON, Mass. (5/11/15)- Freshman Cassandra Stout (Plymouth, Mass.) represented Lasell College in this past weekend's New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) outdoor track and field championships.
Stout threw the javelin at the event, competing against the top schools in New England across three divisions. Finishing 16th overall, Stout threw 35.06m, a vast improvement from last weekend's ECAC Championships, where she threw 34.16m.
At the Smith Pioneer Invitational this past April, Stout qualified for the ECAC Division III Championships by tossing the javelin a personal and Lasell best of 37.91m. The championship event will be held at Springfield College on Saturday, May 16.
