Personal Bests Achieved at Tufts Cupid Challenge by Women's Track and Field

NEWTON, Mass. (2/7/15) Over the weekend, the Lasell College women's indoor track and field team competed in the Tufts Cupid Challenge at Tufts University.

One of the top performers of the day was sophomore Amy MacDonald (Burlington, Mass.) who achieved a personal best in the mile. MacDonald finished the race in 5:47.22, shaving off 10.03 seconds from her previous PR. 

For the sprinters, senior Talia Gabriel (Manchester, Conn.) ran a personal best in the 200m dash at 28.51, flying past her previous PR of 28.63 which she achieved her junior year. 

The 4x200m relay team had a good showing at the meet, placing second in their heat and 6th overall at 1:55.85. The team was led by sophomore Ayumi Ranucci (Auburn, Maine), followed by freshman Lauren Lenahan (Weymouth, Mass.), Gabriel, and senoir Melissa Cooley (Huntington Beach, Calif.). 

The squad will take the track next at Boston University on Saturday, February 14 for the BU Valentine Invitational.
