Women's Track and Field Sets New School Record in 4x200 meter relay at NCAA New Englands

Springfield, Mass. (2/22/14) - The Lasell College women's track and field team sent four athletes to the NCAA New England Regional meet on Saturday February 22nd at Springfield College. Freshmen Tatyana George competed in the long jump, and was also joined by Melissa Cooley, Talia Gabriel and Ayumi Ranucci as they competed in the 4x200M relay.

The 4x200M relay team bested their school record for the third consecutive time, running a 1:52.01, trimming 1.66 seconds off their time from the Tufts meet a week ago. George who just missed the Lasell school record with her distance of 5.0 meters back on February 8th recorded a jump of 4.58 meters at the NCAA meet,  not a personal best, but capping off a successful freshmen indoor campaign nonetheless.
