Henniker, New Hampshire- The Lasell women's soccer team defeated New England College 5-1 in a GNAC play on Saturday Afternoon.
The Lasers wasted no time setting the tone, with Camdyn LaMarre finding the back of the net in just the second minute for her fifth goal of the season to give Lasell an early 1–0 advantage. The offense continued to pressure throughout the half, forcing multiple saves from the NEC goalkeeper. With just 30 seconds left in the half, Gianna Stathakis found Ava Champagne on a perfectly placed ball to strike one deep in the right corner of the net making it 2-0 for the Lasers going into the break.
The momentum carried into the second half, as Mia Pineault struck twice, first in the 51st minute and again in the 63rd, assisted by LaMarre, to extend the lead to 4–0. New England College managed to pull one back in the 78th minute, but Lasell quickly responded as Sydney Post tallied her first goal of the season off a pass from Taylor Colberg to seal the 5–1 victory.
Goalkeepers Elizabeth DaSilva and Regan Sullivan combined for multiple saves to anchor a strong defensive effort for Lasell.
