WSOC: Lasell Battles Back to Draw 1-1 with Rivier

Newton, MA- Lasell women's soccer battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Rivier on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams showcased strong defensive efforts in the first half. Rivier controlled most of the possession, firing 13 shots compared to Lasell's 2. Goalkeeper Elizabeth DaSilva was a key figure in the Lasers' defense, making an impressive 10 saves to keep the game close. Despite her efforts, Rivier broke through with a goal just seconds before halftime, taking a 1-0 lead into the break.

The Lasers came out determined in the second half, dominating play with 8 shots on goal to Rivier's 5. The equalizer came in the 82nd minute when Camdyn LaMarre's initial shot was saved, but Ayla Hathaway capitalized on the rebound to put Lasell on the board. Both teams battled hard in the final minutes, but neither could find the game-winner, resulting in a well-earned draw for Lasell.
