Newton, MA - The Lasell University Women's Soccer team defeated the Albertus Magnus Falcons 6-2 in a GNAC contest on Wednesday. With the win the Lasers improve to 7-4-1 (6-2-1 in GNAC). While the Falcons drop to 4-4-3 (3-4-2 in GNAC).

Both teams came out swinging with multiple opportunities to score but Lasell's Bobbi O'Guin dribbled down the right wing and crossed it to Evelyn DiFiore to put the Lasers up 1-0. Not long after the Falcons were fouled in the box and awarded a penalty kick which tied the game 1-1. Lasell would fight right back and DiFiore would score another goal in the 38th minute along with an own goal by Albertus to put Lasell up 3-1.

The second half started off hot as well, with both teams applying pressure and it was the Falcons in the 54th minute that squeaked a goal in to cut the deficit to 3-2. With the pressure back on Lasell Camdyn LaMarre crossed the ball from the right wing to O'Guin to put Lasell back on top 4-2. Michelina D'Agostino then scored, followed by Nicole Seidell. Seidell' goal was the first of her career.

Lataya Simmons had seven saves and picked up her 7th win for the Lasers in net.
