WSOC: Lasers Dominate Mariners of Mitchell

Newton, M.A. – The Lasell University Women's soccer team extended their record to 5-2-1 in the GNAC (6-4-1 Overall) on Saturday morning, defeating Mitchell College 4-0. The loss moved Mitchell's record to 0-7-1 in GNAC play (2-7-1 Overall).

The Lasers jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead with a goal from sophomore Camdyn LaMarre just nine minutes into the game. They would tack on another goal before the half as Michelina D'Agostino buried her fourth goal of the season.

Lasell was able to put away the Mariners with two more goals in the second half, one off the foot of Alex Delaney, and the other from Bobbi O'Guin, both of which were assisted by D'Agostino. O'Guin's goal was her third of the season and 21st of her career, tying her for the 10th most in school history. She also now has 64 career points, placing her ninth in program history.

Lataya Simmons saved all three shots on net in the win, while O'Guin, and Caroline St. Croix each had an assist.

The Lasers dominated possession, recording 45 shots, tied for the seventh most in a game in program history. They also had all nine corner kicks of the match.
