WSOC: Offense Dominates in Win Over Norwich

Norwich, VT - The Lasell Women's Soccer team got back in the win column on Wednesday, beating Norwich 3-0. The win moves the Lasers to 4-3-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in GNAC play. The Cadets are now 1-5 and 0-4.

The Lasers opened the scoring with a 32nd minute strike by Camdyn LaMarre from 20 yards outs. It was assisted by Bobbi O'Guin and Sophie Lewis. That was the only goal scored in the first half, as the Lasers held the 1-0 lead at the break.

Lasell would quickly double the lead early in the second half when Bobbi O'Guin found the back of the net in the 48th minute for her second goal of the season, and 20th of her career. The Lasers would add one more in the 73rd minute on an Evelyn DiFiore goal.

The Lasers outshot the Cadets 15-2, and had seven corner kicks to their one. Lasers goalie Lataya Simmons recorded her fourth consecutive shutout, making a save on the lone shot that she faced. She is one shutout away from tying the school record for most consecutive shutouts of five set by Elizabeth Stickley in 2010.

Up Next - The Lasers will host Elms on Saturday at 3pm.
