WSOC: Four Different Lasers Score in Simmons Beatdown

Boston, MA - The Lasell Lasers Women's Soccer team won their second straight GNAC game on Tuesday when they defeated Simmons 4-0. They are now 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. Simmons is now 0-4-1 and 0-2-1.

The Lasers went ahead in the 19th minute when Julia Vaillancourt found the back of the net off of a Michelina D'Agostino assist. That was the only goal of the first half.

D'Agostino then opened up the scoring in the second half with her second goal of the season in the 61st minute, doubling the Lasell lead. Bobbi O'Guin would score her first goal of the season in the 79th minute. The Lasers would add one more goal with a minute left when Julianna Huckans scored her first career goal in the 89th minute.

O'Guin's goal was a historic one, as it gave her 19 for her career, moving her to 13th place in school history. She is just two goals from breaking into the top 10. It also gave her 58 career points, passing casey Meissner '18 for 10th most in school history.

The Lasers outshot the Sharks 26-4, completely controlling the game. They also had 15 corners to Simmons' one. Goalie Lataya Simmons started in net for the Lasers and recorded her second consecutive shutout, having to make just one save.

Up Next - The Lasers will play a non-conference match at Amherst on Thursday. That game will start at 6pm.
