Standish, ME – The Lasell University Women's Soccer team was able to bounce back on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over conference foe St. Joe's Maine.

Lasell came out of the gate hot, putting pressure on the Monks early, getting eight shots off on net, but they just couldn't get one past. The Laser defense had their back however, holding St. Joe's to just four shots in the first half.

The Lasers kept up the offensive pressure in the second half, finally finding the back of the net at the 64-minute mark when Emily DeHart buried her first goal of the season, giving Lasell a 1-0 lead.

Lasell would tack on another goal in the 74th-minute as Michelina D'Agostino put one in the back of the net off of an assist from Alex Delaney.

The defense held strong all game only allowing seven shots all day from the Monks.

Up Next: The Lasers travel to Simmons University to face the Sharks in another GNAC matchup at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12th.
