Beverly, MA - The Lasell University Women's Soccer team kicked off their 2023 campaign with a 4-0 loss to the Endicott Gulls on Friday. The Lasers are now 0-1 on the season while the Gulls are 1-0.

Neither team got on the scoreboard until the Gulls found the back of the net in the 36th minute. This gave the Gulls a 1-0 lead that they would take into halftime. They would then go on a scoring spree over a 10 minute span early in the second half, scoring three times between the 52nd and 63rd minute. This gave them a 4-0 lead that they would hold on to for the win.

Evelyn DiFiore had the lone shot for the Lasers. Elizabeth DaSilva got the start in net for the Lasers, making 11 saves on 15 shots. Lataya Simmons would finish the game in net and stop all five shots she faced.

Up Next - The Lasers will host Wentworth in the first home game of the season. That game will kick off from Taylor Field at 12pm on Sunday.
