LaClair Named GNAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week

NEWTON, Mass. (9/25/17) – Senior Sarah LaClair (Belchertown, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias women's soccer goalkeeper of the week, as announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

The honor comes as a first for the Lasell women's soccer program, as the Lasers are boasting a 4-0 conference record.

LaClair recorded seven saves in Lasell's lone game of the week, a 1-0 shutout victory over Saint Joseph's Maine. The senior stopped five pressing shots from the Monks in the second half alone, three of which game in breakaway, point-blank fashion. With the result, LaClair secured her second clean sheet of the season, adding to her career record—holding 21.

LaClair and the Lasers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Boston, Mass. for a GNAC tilt with Suffolk at 7:00 p.m.
