LaClair, Zdanek Take GNAC Corvias Weekly Honors

NEWTON, Mass. (10/12/15) – Lasell women's soccer sophomore Sarah LaClair (Belchertown, Mass.) and freshman Carly Zdanek (Newton, N.J.) collected this week's Great Northeast Athletic Corvias accolades as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. LaClair earns her second GNAC weekly award of the year, while Zdanek takes her first collegiate conference honor.

LaClair earned GNAC goalkeeper of the week after conceding zero goals in a 2-0 week for the Lasers. LaClair helped Lasell to a 6-0 blank of Anna Maria College before shutting out the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.), 2-0, with seven saves on the day. The Belchertown, Mass. native currently leads all keepers in the conference in goals against (8), goals against average (0.89), and save percentage (.862).

Zdanek played to this week's GNAC rookie of the week after dishing out two goals for four points in the Lasers' victory over Anna Maria. With three goals on the season thus far, Zdanek is tied for the runner-up in goals scored for Lasell.
