Lynch Sisters Continue to Rack Up Post-Season Honors

NEWTON, Mass. (12/16/2015) – Seniors Bridget and Kayla Lynch (Dover, N.H.) have been awarded with New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Division III All-New England honors. Among the 40 student-athlete roster, the Lynch sisters are the lone representatives for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

The Lynch sisters were voted to the NEWISA Third Team after a standout 2014 season. Bridget Lynch (Dover, N.H.) led the GNAC in goals, points, and assists while setting the all-time Lasell College record in each listed category, respectively. Bridget Lynch's list of post-season accolades is a lengthy one, earning a spot on the NSCAA All-Region First Team and the GNAC First Team. Bridget Lynch was also awarded GNAC Offensive Player of the Year/Tournament Most Valuable Player, and was nominated into the NEWISA Senior Bowl.

Kayla Lynch started in all 21 contests for the Lasers, registering seven goals, four assists, and two game-winners. Kayla was also rewarded after her notable 2014 season, as she was named on the NSCAA All-Region Second Team and the GNAC First Team.

Kayla and Bridget Lynch proved themselves as commendable student-athletes on and off the pitch. Both Lasers were placed on the 2014 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the first time in Lasell College history. Furthermore, Bridget continued to stun the Lasell community in November when she was elected to the Capital One Academic All-America Team.
