Bridget Lynch Named GNAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year; Three Lasers Chosen Overall

Lasell sophomore forward Bridget Lynch (Dover, N.H.) has been named the 2012 GNAC Player of the Year after putting together an electric offensive season. The forward leads the conference in points (51) and goals (23) while ranking tied for 11th in assists (5). Lynch registered at least one goal in 13 of her 19 contests this season including eight multi-goal outings. From Sept. 22-29, the Dover, N.H. native put on an offensive show in conference play, racking up 15 points over three GNAC matches. Her 23 total goals not only leads the GNAC but also is tied for the sixth highest total in the nation heading into the NCAA tournament.

Bridget was joined on the GNAC First Team by her twin sister Kayla Lynch (Dover, N.H.) who finished second on the team with 13 goals and four assists. The duo combined to help power the Lasers to 30 goals in conference play, tied for the best output in the conference.

Jamie Osterberg (Monroe, Conn.) was named to the GNAC Second Team, after starting in all 19 matches for Lasell. The center back helped key the Lasers defense with her communication and technical abilities, also notching three assists on the season.

Freshmen Molly Masiero (Richmond, Mass.) was named to the GNAC Sportsmanship team.
