Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College women's soccer team scored four times in the opening ten minutes of their Great Northeast Athletic Conference opener against Anna Maria College on their way to a 10-0 victory. Lasell improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in GNAC play, while Anna Maria fell to 1-2 on the year and 0-1 in conference action.
Freshmen Kelsey Evje (Cranston, R.I.) netted four goals on the afternoon, and sophomore Bridget Lynch (Dover, NH) added a hat trick of her own to lead the Lasers offense. Juniors Sam Peck (Woodbury, Conn.), Arianna DiOrio (Revere, Mass.) and freshmen Molly Lauver (Cambridge, N.Y.) each tallied goals as well.
Leah Pappalardo (Whitman, Mass.) finished with her second straight shutout in goal for Lasell, while Sarah Benvenuti (Southbridge, Mass.) finished with four saves in a losing effort for Anna Maria.
Anna Maria will play at Mount Ida on Tuesday September 11th at 3:30, while next up for Lasell is an away fixture vs. Simmons College, Wednesday September 12th at 7:00 pm.
