NEWTON, Mass. (3/10/14) – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference selected Lasell College junior Caitlin Brecher (Cheshire, Conn.) as the league women's lacrosse player of the week for the first week of play. Brecher scored 12 goals and tallied an assist in the Lasers three contests against quality non-conference competition. She scored two goals and added an assist in the Lasers season opening loss to MIT before responding with five goals in a 17-16 double overtime victory against Curry and added five more goals as the Lasers saw a comeback attempt fall short against Wellesley in a 14-10 defeat.

Brecher was a member of the GNAC First Team All-Conference her sophomore year after scoring 40 goals and adding 11 assists during the campaign while helping lead Lasell to their first ever GNAC women's lacrosse title.
