Adam Green Named Women's Lacrosse Co-Head Coach

Lasell College is pleased to announce that Adam Green has been named the Co-Head Coach of the Lasers women's lacrosse program prior to the 2014 season. Green joined the Lasell staff prior to the 2011 season first as an assistant coach, then being promoted to the Associate Head Coach a year ago. In his three years on the Lasell staff the squad has reached the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship game all three times, winning the 2013 GNAC tournament and earning the program's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance.

"Coach Green has been a tremendous asset in building our women's lacrosse program here at Lasell" said co-head coach Cait Connolly, adding "I'm excited that he is moving into a bigger role and that we have been able to recognize his contributions to Lasell women's lacrosse."

While Green has been involved in all aspects of the program during his time at Lasell, his primary focus has been on the team's offense. Lasell has been ranked in the top 5 in the NCAA during the 2012 and 2013 seasons in scoring offense and has had a pair of players in the top 10 in the nation in total points both years.

Director of Athletics Kristy Walter was pleased to announce the move, saying "Since Coach Green began working with the women's lacrosse team he has been dedicated to raising the level of the program. The team has benefitted from his knowledge and passion, improving every year.  I believe that Coach Connolly and Coach Green complement each other well and together will keep the program on a successful path."

Green will function as the program's primary recruiter and also will coordinate the team's non-traditional season.
