PORTLAND, ME – Lasell College women's lacrosse picked up their third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season tonight with a decisive 13-6 triumph over St. Joseph's College of Maine under the lights at Deering Memorial Stadium. The Lasers improve to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC while the Monks step back to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the league.

Lasell took a 5-3 lead into the break thanks to a a pair of man-down goals by Neila Kudla (Groton, MA) and one even tally each from Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA), Tina Canavan (Stonington, CT), and Britney Wuorio (Bolton, MA).

A three-goal rush through six minutes sparked the Lasers to begin in the second half.  Slattery notched the first two goals, including the game winner at 27:33, assisted by Canavan, for the 7-3 lead and another Wuorio mark put five goals between the teams.  Lasell went on to score five of the next eight goals to fend off the Monks.
