Women's Lacrosse Scores All Three GNAC Weekly Honors

The Lasell College women's lacrosse team scored all three weekly honors from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).  Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) was named Player of the Week, Kristin Coderre (Monson, MA) was dubbed Goalkeeper of the Week, and Britney Wuorio (Bolton, MA) earned Rookie of the Week honors.

An 0-3 start to the year has not deterred some fine highlights for the Lasers, including seven goals  for Slattery, as well as 17 draw controls, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers.  Slattery is ranked 2nd on the team in total points this season so far.

Wuorio is leading the Lasers in scoring having scored eight goals and added two assists in three games.  The freshman's ten points were spread over all three games, scoring two goals and adding an assist against Westfield State, netting five goals against Curry, and tallying three goals and one assist against Wellesley.  Wuorio also added five ground balls and one caused turnover.

Coderre has made 46 saves in the Lasers' net this season against non-conference foes, averaging over 15 saves per game.  She started the week with 16 saves against Westfield, made 18 stops against Curry, and turned aside 12 shots at Wellesley.

The Lasers return to action on Wednesday, March 16th at 4:00 p.m. against Anna Maria College.
