5 Lasell Athletes Recognized in GNAC Weekly Honors

Two softball and three lacrosse players got conference honors for the week ending March 23rd.  The Laser's women's lacrosse team took down all three weekly awards given out by the GNAC, and softball took two of the three weekly awards. 

Senior Caitlyn Murphy (Katonah, NY) was chosen as the women's lacrosse Player of the Week.  Murphy scored 15 goals and totaled 31 points in a perfect 3-0 week for the Lasers, including a 7 goal performance against Anna Maria. 

Freshman midfielder Meredith Hessler (Middletown, RI) was rewarded as the Rookie of the  Week for her outstanding performances in the three games.  Hessler scored 7 goals and dished out 4 assists and dug up 15 groundballs.  Hessler put up six points against Daniel Webster with two goals and four assists.

 And finally, sophomore Kristin Coderre (Monson, MA) was honored as the Goalkeeper of the Week for the GNAC.  Coderre went a perfect 3-0 in net, recording 20 saves and a goal-against average of 5.00.

Lasell's softball team had two athletes honored after their 5-5 week in Florida.  Jackie Saluti (Braintree, MA) made an instant impact for the Lasers and was named the Rookie of the Week.  In 10 games she hit .310 with 11 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.  

Junior Jackie Loseff (Point Pleasant, NJ) was named the Pitcher of the Week.  Loseff started five games going 3-2, striking out 22 batters in 28 innings and had an earned run average of 2.50.
