Newton, MA - The Lasell Women's Basketball team wrapped up their regular season with their 16th win of the season, defeating Elms 78-52. With the win, the team passes the 2005-06 team for the second most wins in program history, trailing only the 2000-01 team, which had 19. The Lasers are now 16-8 on the season and 10-4 in GNAC play. The Blazers end their season 10-15 and 4-10.

Prior to the game the Lasers honored their lone senior, Brooke Damboise.

It was a slow start for both teams, as neither team scored in the first two plus minutes. But then the Lasers took off, scoring 10 of the first 11 points. They continued to hold a commanding lead, leading 16-7 after the first quarter. The Blazers got within five midway through the second, but a run by the Lasers put them up 36-21 at the half. The Lasers would hold things down in the second half, never seeing their lead go below 10.

It was a well balanced attack from the Lasers, as six different Lasers scored in double digit, accounting for all but five of the team's points. The senior Damboise led the way with 15 points, followed by Kiara Cerruti's 13. Behind them was Blaize Mack and Laura Johnson with 12 each, and the Shirle Major with 11. Mia Sullivan-Sanders scored 10 off the bench. Johnson and Mack each had a double-double, grabbing 16 and 12 rebounds respectively. Damboise led the team with seven assists. With the seven assists, her career total is now 170, passing Christina DeLuca for ninth most in program history.
