Midway through the first quarter the Lasers jumped out to a 14-7 lead, but the Wildcats would inch back before the end of the quarter, winning the second half of it 8-4, as the Lasers led 18-15 after one. The second quarter was even closer, and saw the Wildcats tie things up at 20 midway through. But a 7-2 run from the Lasers would give them an edge, and they led 29-26 at the break.

The difference maker of the game proved to be the third quarter, as the Lasers outscored JWU 20-5. The key runs were a 8-0 run in the middle of the quarter, and then a 9-0 run to end it. The quarter was punctuated by a Brooke Damboise three pointer at the buzzer. The Lasers led 49-31 headed into the fourth quarter, and they never really let JWU back into it, as the closest the Wildcats got was 12.
