NEWTON, Mass. --  The Lasell College women's basketball team was selected to finished 12th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) preseason poll, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Lasell opens up the 2017-18 campaign at Wentworth on November 15th at 7:00p.m. before opening their homestand against Lesley on November 16th. The Lasers will finish out the month with home contests versus Framingham State on the 21st and GNAC opponent on Suffolk on November 29th.

In December the Lasers will be on the road as they will travel to St. Joseph's (Conn.), Plymouth State and Lyndon State early in the month. To close out the fall semester, Lasell will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida for non-conference neutral site matchups with Rockford and Centre on December 20th & 21st.

Lasell continues their stretch of road games to begin the new year, traveling to Rhode Island College on January 4th and then to GNAC newcomer Regis on January 9th.  They will then return home on January 16 to host Norwich.

Returning senior Morgan Church (New London, N.H.) led the Lasers' offense last season, contributing 302 points and 77 assists in 24 games. Juniors Brianna Hoffman (Milford, N.H.) and Becca Fenton (East Hartford, Conn.) will look to continue their dominance on defense, coming off 25 and 20 steals apiece.

Head coach Todd Montana enters his fourth season at the helm of the women's basketball program and with eight returning players and seven new additions, the women are looking forward to an exciting season.
