NEWTON, Mass. (11/30/15) – Senior guard Katie Stopera (Hollis, N.H.) has been chosen as this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias women's basketball player of the week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Stopera had 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting (64.3%), including 4-of- 8 from three-point range, to go along with seven rebounds in the Lasers' 58-56 victory over Western New England last Tuesday. It marked the fifth straight game Stopera has scored in double-digits.
Stopera is ranked 1st among conference stat leaders in points per game with 20.6, and sits 7th overall in 3-point percentage at 37.5%.
