Lasell held the Eagles to 28% shooting in the first half and 30% for the game in the victory.

DWC held as large as a four-point lead twice in the opening 10 minutes but Lasell would take the lead for good late in the period, on a pair from the line from Chappell and a Soares jumper for the three-point lead at the break.

A Chappell free throw would give Lasell its first double digit lead at 39-29 with 15:46 to go in the second and a Jennifer Fredericks (Beacon Falls, Conn.) jumper pulled DWC back within eight.

Chappell answered with back-to-back layups, Stopera later nailed a three, and a Soares layup pushed the lead to 15 at 50-35 with 9:23 to go.

Johnson made a layup to pull DWC within 14 at 53-39 with 6:01 left but an Autencio layup and Stopera jumper pushed the lead to 18 with 4:27 left and the Eagles pulled no closer than 15 the rest of the way.
