Newton, Mass. (11/14/12) - The Lasell College women's basketball program opens the 2012-13 season on Thursday November 15th, when they host the Wentworth Leopards at 6pm.

The Lasers were selected 10th by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference coaches in the conference's preseason poll. Lasell's roster feature 5 returning players and eight newcomers as they look to build on their 2011-12 campaign. Senior Kim Archibald, junior Kayla Vincelette and sophomores Alexis Chappell, Dani Autencio and Justine Ryan return from last year's team.

This quintet averaged 38.5 points per game and 22.6 rebounds per game during the 2011-12 season. Newcomers Deanna Barrett, Ginelle Cola, Rebeka Costa, Talia Gabriel, Ashley Gleason, Molly Lauver, Sammy Long, and Nikita Soares, will be counted on to provide depth and added punch to the Lasell attack
