New York, NY--The women's basketball team faced tournament host Hunter College on Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex in Manhattan.  The women fell behind early and entered half time down by 9. Lasell came out strong in the second half though, going on a 14-8 run and cutting the lead to just 3 points.  The Hawks, however never let up and regained control following an 8-0 run. The final score had the Lasers on the losing end 51-70.   

Katie Farr led the team with a team high 12 points and four assists.  Senior Tricia Culver followed with eight points and first year player Kim Archibald led team in rebounds, pulling down 10.
