MXC: Lasell finishes up season at NCAA Regionals at Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Lasell University men's cross country team wrapped up the 2019 season Saturday afternoon as four of the five Laser runners posted their fastest time of the season at the NCAA Division III New England Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College.

Junior Geralson Withrow (Mystic, Conn.) was the top finisher for the Lasers, placing 264th out of 385 runners on the 8K course in a time of 29 minutes, 20 seconds. Senior Matt Holden (Methuen, Mass.) was the next finisher for Lasell, finishing his career with a personal-best time of 29:42.

Lasell's other three competitors also turned in personal-best times, as freshman Zach Kirsch (Winsted, Conn.) crossed the line in 337th in 31:35, senior Kyle Mullen (West Newbury, Mass.) was 358th in 32:52, and senior Kevin Wallin (Billerica, Mass.) was 382nd in 37:29, lowering his best time by nearly two minutes.

Williams College had five of the top eight finishers to capture the team title. Lasell finished 52nd overall and seventh among Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) schools.
