Four Lasell Men’s Track & Field athletes race at All-Comers Meet

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Lasell College men's track & field team finished up the indoor season Sunday afternoon with a small contingent competing at the All-Comers Meet, hosted at Smith College by the Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club.

Senior Ben Lane (Rutland, Vt.) was the top performer for the Lasers in two sprint events. He placed first among 60 entries in the 55-meter dash with a personal-best time of 6.86 seconds, and he was second overall in the 200 meters with a personal best of 23.58 seconds.  Sophomore Ben Biello (North Dighton, Mass.) placed sixth in both the 55 meters (7.16 seconds) and 200 meters (personal-best 25.12 seconds), and freshman James Falzone (Waltham, Mass.) finished his first 55-meter dash in 7.46 seconds.

Junior Kyle Mullen (West Newbury, Mass.) also represented the Lasers in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 1:07.39.

The team also put a new addition into the school record book as the four Lasers (left) competed in a sprint medley relay race, finishing with a time of 4:34.53, with Lane and Falzone doing 200 meters, Biello running 400 meters, and Mullen finishing with 800 meters.

After a four-week break, the Lasers will open the outdoor season at the Wesleyan University Spring Classic on Saturday, March 23, in Middletown, Conn.
