CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lasell College men's track & field team sent a small contingent of athletes to the USA Track and Field New England Indoor Championships Sunday at Harvard University, with a senior captain setting a school record in one of his events.

Senior Ben Lane (Rutland, Vt.) led the Lasers with a school-record time of 7.38 seconds in the 60-meter dash. He lowered his season-best time of 7.45 seconds from last week, and eclipsed the previous school standard of 7.39 seconds, set by Antonio Nesbitt on December 3, 2011. Lane (left) also clocked a time of 24.36 seconds in the 200 meters.

Freshman James Falzone (Waltham, Mass.) posted his personal-best in the 60 meters with a time of 8.03 seconds. Junior Matt Holden (Methuen, Mass.) turned in a personal-best 2:11.59 in the 800 meters, and sophomore Ben Biello (North Dighton, Mass.) represented Lasell in the 200 meters with a time of 24.85 seconds.

The Lasers will wrap up the indoor season next Sunday, February 24, at the SMAC All-Comers Meet at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
