Lasell Men’s Track & Field post season-best times at BU Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. – The Lasell College men's track & field team recorded six season-best times Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University. The event included approximately 1,500 athletes representing 150 colleges, universities and clubs.

Senior Ben Lane (Rutland, Vt.) posted the top finishes for Lasell, placing 31st in the 60-meter dash in a season-best time of 7.46 seconds and taking 113th in the 200 meters in a season-best 23.68 seconds. Sophomore Ben Biello (North Dighton, Mass.) ran the same two races, posting a time of 7.88 seconds in the 60 and a season-best 24.90 in the 200. Sophomore Chase King (Eastham, Mass.) and freshman James Falzone (Waltham, Mass.) also posted season-best times in the 60, finishing in 8.05 and 8.10 seconds, respectively.

Junior Kyle Mullen (West Newbury,  Mass.) turned in a season-best time of 1:26.02 in the 500 meters to place 48th, and classmate Mark Payton (Barrington, R.I.) was right behind in 49th in 1:31.38.

Also competing for the Lasers were junior Matt Holden (Methuen, Mass.), 131st place in the 800 meters in 2:12.35; and senior Ryan Dalaba (North Granville, N.Y.), 57th in the 1000 meters in 2:59.49.

The Lasers will return to the BU Track & Tennis Center in two weeks to compete at the David Hemery Valentine's Invitational on Saturday, February 9, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
