Lasell Track & Field competes at Greater Boston Track Club meet

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lasell men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational Sunday at Harvard University. In the second meet of the year, the Lasers improved on their individual performances from the previous week making progress towards the season-ending Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Outdoor T&F Championships in April.

Freshman Hannah Richards (Belfast, Maine) started the day for the Lasers with an improvement in her 60m High Hurdles finishing with a mark of 11.11. Next up in the women's 60m dash was the freshman duo Isabella Raffone (Westbrook, Conn.) and Allie Amos (Prescott, Ariz.) competing in their first collegiate indoor track meet. Raffone finished in 9.21 with Amos in 9.46.

In the men's 60m dash, freshman Ben Biello (N. Dighton, Mass.) improved his indoor 60m time with a 7.92 mark with sophomore Brendan Johnson (Plymouth, Mass.) finishing in 8.11. Competing in the 200m dash was sophomore Massimo Cugno (Medford, Mass.) lower his season-best time finishing in 25.80.

In the middle distance events, sophomore Karli Manship (Pittsfield, Mass.) continued to improve this season running 2:56.70 in the 800m. For the men, sophomore Matt Holden (Methuen, Mass.) lowered his season best time in the 800 meter finishing in 2:18.34. Sophomore Kyle Mullen (West Newbury, Mass.) had one of the biggest improvements lowering his season best time in the 600m by six seconds from the previous week finishing in 1:58.01.  

Next up for the Lasell Track & Field team will be the Boston University Terrier meet in Boston on Friday, January 26th for the women and Saturday, January 27th for the men.
