Boston, Mass. (1/30/15) - Lasell College track and field runners Andrew Panther (Cheshire, Conn.) and Nick Garifalos (Spotswood, N.J.) were top contenders this past weekend at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Invitatioanl.

Both runners surpassed previous Lasell College records, Panther in the 400m and Garifalos in the 800m. Panther finished the 400m race in 50.61, while Garifalos finished the 800m in 2:02.81.

Jaquan Johnson ran a personal best in the 200m at 24.29, slicing his previous race by .66 seconds. 

Junior Patrick Sponzo (Windsor, Conn.) ran his best indoor 800m race at 2:04.63, overcoming his freshman personal record of 2:06.90. 

The men's track and field team will return to competition on Saturday, February 7th at the Tufts Cupid Challenge.
