NEWTON, Mass. (1/20/15) – The men's indoor track and field team saw many improvements and personal records at the Tufts Invitational this past weekend. Junior Andrew Panther (Cheshire, Conn.) set the Lasell College record in the 600m run, running at 1:28.50. Panther finished 3rd in the heat finals, and placed 20th overall.
Senior Kyle Northrop (Bellingham, Mass.) ran a personal best of 4:54.66 in the 1-mile run, placing 5th in the heat finals, and 32nd overall. Finishing 12th in the same heat was junior Patrick Sponzo (Windsor, Conn.), running a 5:01.12.
In the 200m run, freshman Joshua Nixon (Bloomfield, Conn.) placed 45th overall with a 25.34 finish, improving his last 200m run by .26 seconds.
The squad will lace up again on Saturday, January 24th for the Beynon Invitational at Smith College.
