BOSTON, Mass. (2/1/14)- The Lasell College men's track and field team continued their indoor season on Saturday February 1st when the competed at the Tufts University Stampede. Sophomore Patrick Sponzo turned in the team's top performance, placing seventh in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:47.96.
Rick Igbani led the way in the sprints for the Lasers, posting times of 7.7 in the 60M Dash and 25.20 in the 200M Dash. Josias Manzanillo and Ryan MacLeod joined Igbani in doubling up on the sprint events as Manzanillo finished with times of 8.42 in the 60M and 27.91 in the 200M, while Macleod finished with an 8.48 in the 60M and a 28.32 in the 200M.
Kyle Northrop, Tyler Cohen and Shawn Woodsworth each ran the 800M for the Lasers, posting times of 2:24.45, 2:31.17 and 2:34.53 respectively. Tyler Schwabe recorded a distance of 9.02M, a new season best for the junior.
