NEWTON, Mass (10/12/13) - The Lasell College men's track and field team kicked off their 2013-14 slate with a trip to UMass-Boston on Saturday September 7th. Andrew Panther was the top overall finisher for the Lasers, taking 10th in the 400M in a time of 52.19.

In the men's 60M dash Dylan Fernandes (7.57) finished 43rd, John Almeida (7.71) placed 53rd, Edwin Sheehan (7.73) finished 55th. They were followed by Thomas Skafidas (8.01), Chris Pena (8.22) and Tyler Schwabe (8.68).

In the 200M dash Fernandes was the top finisher again for Lasell in a time of 24.97, followed by Alemida and Sheehan at 25.24 and 25.29 respectively. Thomas Skafidas (25.78) was next for Lasell, followed by Bobby Spellman (28.25). Sheehan also posted a time of 57.57 in the men's 400M, good for 39th place.

In the men's 800M Patrick Sponzo's 2:09.3 was goood for 22nd place, followed by Kyle Northrop 2:24.2, Tyler Cohen 2:25.07 and Shawn Woodsworth with a time of 2:40.47. Bobby Spellman finished 18th in the men's 500M for the Lasers with a time of 1:20.96.
