Willimantic, Conn. (4/14/13) – The Lasell College men's track and field team got a new personal best from Patrick Sponzo in their meet at Eastern Connecticut among other strong showings.

Sponzo ran a 2:02.10 in the 800M run, breaking his old mark by just under two seconds on his way to a second place finish in the race.

Tyler Schwabe placed eighth in the shot put and ninth in the discus with marks of 8.79 meters in the shot and 20.57 meters in the discus. Christopher Cohn was eighth in the finals of the 100M with a time of 13.50 seconds, and Andrew Panther took seventh in the 200M dash with a mark of 24.23 seconds.

Dashaun Hightower was tenth in the 400M dash with a time of 56.24 seconds, also taking third place in the 400M hurdles posting a mark of 1:03.40 in the race. David Cooper took fourth in the 1500M run, covering the distance in 4:21.79.
