Men's Track Scores at Tufts University Snowflake Classic

Boston, Mass. (3/30/13) - The Lasell College men's track and field team scored for the first time in outdoor competition, courtesy of Kyle Northrop's 4th place finish in the 3000M steeplechase. Northrop's time of 10:58.28 was a full ten seconds faster than his time from last week. At the collegiate level the top eight places in events award points to the competing athlete's team score, and Northrop now holds the distinction of being the first member of the men's program to help his team score points.

David Cooper placed 21st in the 800M, trimming three seconds off his effort a week ago to finish with a time of 2:02.58. Patrick Sponzo was 34th in the 800M in a time of 2:09.30. Andrew Panther posted a 54.47 in the 400M, finishing 34th on the afternoon.

Antonio Nesbitt competed in the 100M and 200M double, placing 39th in the 100M in a time of 11.90, and 43rd in the 200M with a time of 24.75Dashaun Hightower placed 14th in the 400M Hurdes with a time of 1:02.71, and 47th in the open 400M with a time of 55.87. 

Ryan Macleod was clocked in 26.68 in the 200M good for 69th place, and Christoper Cohn ran a 13.49 in the 100M finishing 83rd.

The men will return to the track on Saturday April 6th when they visit Fitchburg State.
