Panther Places 21st in 400M at NCAA New England Regionals

Lewiston, Maine (02/16/13) - Lasell College freshmen Andrew Panther became the first male runner in the history of Lasell College's track and field program to qualify for and compete in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships this past weekend.

Panther earned a bid in the 400M dash when he set the school record at Boston University on January 25th.

Panther's time of 53.59 was good for 21st place on the day, and he was one of only eight freshmen to compete in the field.

Andrew holds the school record in the 400at 51.40 seconds, and he previously held the school record in the 800M, before seeing that record fall to classmate David Cooper at Tufts on Feb. 1st.
